Grading Starts on Proposed School Site

Jimmy O'Neal (left) of Appling Brothers Construction of Macon chats with former County BOE Chairman Will Peterson at lunch break on the site of the proposed Treutlen school, where lots of dirt has been moved in recent days.

The long-term Chairman of the 60s and 70s told O'Neal "We didn't have anything like this when I was Chairman."  He said they worked hard on a very tight budget.  Peterson admired the site, but questioned whether or not a new school was necessary.

More pictures of the construction on the slideshow. Just click to stop it and examine the photos and cutlines.
