Treutlen Elementary School presented a veterans program, today, Pearl Harbor week, at the TES gymnasium with a packed audience. Valerie Ellington conducted the program, which included posting of colors by Russell Wadley and Chris Chavis of the Soperton Police Department, Pledge of Allegiance, National Anthem, and America, The Beautiful. Music was done by the THS Concert Band, the Third-Fourth Grade Ensemble, Soloist Patti Heaton, Trumpet Soloist Brittany Meeks and the audience.
Principal Christopher Watkins made the Welcome, and School Superintendent Charles Ellington gave an emotional, compelling address. Forrest Edge recognized the veterans, and Tina Joiner gave a media presentation of local veterans. A number of students carried out special duties. Marcus K. Rayner directed the THS Band.
