After the Rain

Creeks were swollen, water was standing on high ground, and school was called off after the downpour Monday evening and early Tuesday morning. County crews were busy marking danger zones, putting up signs and began the initial rebuilding.  Pictures show the big washout on Sandy Ridge Road west of Lothair, Corrections crew at the branch on Fowler Street near Treutlen High School, water standing on both sides of the railroad, one of the highest points in Soperton. Rains had subsided by Tuesday night and the school website calls for classes Wednesday.
