R is for Republican D is for Democratic L is for Libertarian I is for Independent
Since there are no primary elections for Libertarian or Independent candidates, they won't appear on a ballot until the General Election in November.
Considering the large number of candidates, it is very likely that there will be run-offs in both parties. The party you choose on the July 20 Primary will be the same party you will use for any run-off elections. If you vote Democratic the first time, you must vote Democratic in the run-offs. If you vote Republican the first time, you must vote Republican in the run-offs.
Enough to muddle over right now? In a day or so, we will list the 13 Congressional Races and maybe just a few of the State House and State Senate races in our area.
