Blooming Today in Treutlen County

.

.
A bloom that has gone to seed. Children delight in picking the yellow flowers in early spring and enjoy blowing the sparkly spheres unto dozens of flying, falling parachutes. Some adults try to eliminate dandelions from their dull solid green lawns. They must not have read Mrs. Helena Reeves THS assignment on "Intimations of Immortality from Recollections of Early Childhood". The younger the child, the clearer they remember Heaven.
.

.
A bloom that has gone to berry. Green blackberries will ripen into red and then the color they are named for. The picture is green on green, including the critter on the leaf.
.

.
An experienced farmer said about the purple flowers "I've been seeing them all my life, fields of them, but I don't know what they are. These are at Lothair.
.

.
Buy a small pot of these and turn them aloose. Years later you may find them growing in every part of your yard. The name is Oxalis, and the blooms come in a variety of colors. The white ones are sometimes sold as false Shamrocks, but the real Irish plant has leaves that are darker green with more texture.
.
Be sure to e-mail such pictures to your family and friends who live outside the south, so they will be envious.
