Quick Action on Defective Signals

For the past couple of weeks motorists have been having trouble with the traffic signals at the intersection of US 221 and GA 46 (Bank of Soperton, Mr. Coon's Garage, and Mason's Auto Parts).
A contractor from South Carolina was putting in new cables in the pavement Thursday night.

The workmen said that they work at night when it's cooler and there's less traffic. They have projects in several towns at this time, but they expect the work on this job will be finished in a week or two. The same company is contracted to do a similar improvement at the red  light on Main Street and Second Street.

If you see these fellows, be sure to thank them for their speedy work.
