Funeral services for Dr. Ed Roberts will be held Monday in Cochran, where he was a family physician. He was a member of the first graduating class of Mercer School of Medicine.
He had lived in Wheeler County at the family home for a number of years, where he was active in local politics and carried on a computer enterprise.
He had been an associate of Bill Gates, and Roberts was considered as "the father of the personal computer."
Roberts was known and appreciated by many Treutlen Countians.
