Flag & Pole Dedicated at Nursing Home

.
The American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Woodmen of the World with assistance from the City of Soperton bought and installed a new flag pole at the Treutlen County Nursing Home on Friday, September 11, the eighth anniversary of terroristic attacks on the United States.
.
Participating in the ceremony were representatives of all the groups. Bobby Joe Moxley was emcee, and Rev. George Grimes gave the invocation. Paul Burns, Jack Lawrence, Carvin Coleman, and Moxley participated in the raising of the flag. Sid Love with the fire and emergency and representatives of the Soperton Police Department also participated. Will Peterson spoke on behalf of the Hospital Authority and Mrs. Johnny spoke on behalf of the Nursing Home, which provided refreshments at the new pavilion, which was decorated for the occasion.
