The tree is behind the Senior Center, near the dumpster. The nut is large and oblong, turns darker after being on the ground a couple of days. The base shell is mossy and covers most of the nut until it starts drying and drops to the ground releasing the nut. Some people have already guessed chestnut or sawtooth oak. What do you think?
