I coached at Treutlen High School from 1967-1974. There are several athletes I would like to nominate. The first one is Jimmy Miller. Jimmy was on the 1969 State Track Championship team and scored 30.5 points. He was the state champion in the 100 and the long jump, and on the winning 4x100 relay team. He was second in the low hurdles. Jimmy was also an outstanding football player.

Winning the state track meet was the first state championship in any sport for Treutlen County.
